Honeymoon Kenya - Romance of Africa

Day 1 - Nairobi:
Guests are met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to Ngong House, a hip, tree-house 'boutique hotel' in the green suburbs of Langata, looking out over the spectacular Ngong Hills, made famous by Karen Blixen in her book & the film: Out of Africa. Overnight Ngong House

Days 2, 3, 4 - Lake Natron:
After a lazy breakfast guests are transferred the short distance to Wilson Airport for a private charter flight (20 minutes) to Shompole, the ultimate chill-zone and luxury hide-away on the Kenya/Tanzania border. Sculpted into the side of the Nguruman escarpment, overlooking the stunning expanse of the Great Rift Valley, this sophisticated 'designer' retreat makes the most of both an incredible view and the cool breeze. Here guests can relax, stretch and luxuriate in the balmy air, enjoying stunning views, and indulge in as much or as little activity as they choose. With privacy, comfort and relaxation in mind, each guest space includes its own cool-pool and informal sitting area, a bathroom with a view and a specially-designed tented canopy over the kingsize bed within each open sided chalet with spring fed streams channelled through each room. Shompole has it all: game viewing, walking with Maasai trackers, mountain biking on the shores of Lake Natron (one of only 3 breeding grounds for the world population of Lesser Flamingoes) night game driving and sumptuous food and pampering back at the lodge. 3 nights Shompole

Days 5, 6 - Loita Hills/Mara Conservancy:
When full relaxation and peace is achieved guests reluctantly move on to the edge of the great Maasai Mara. A short charter flight away takes guests to a private community owned game conservancy between the Loita Hills and the Mara and Naibor Camp. This is a small, intimate tented camp with the emphasis on style, comfort and a choice of outdoor activities. Walking with a professional safari guide and Maasai trackers amongst the bush; mountain biking across the plains, day and night game drives and extremely stylish tents, away from anyone else: seriously romantic and very exclusive... 2 nights Naibor Camp

Days 7, 8, 9 - Maasai Mara:
And the grand finalé 3 nights at the uber-luxury Bateleur Camp. This totally indulgent 'grown-up' camp is on the border of the Masai Mara National Reserve. The camp lies at the base of the Oloololo escarpment and is fringed by riverine forest just below the spot where 'Out of Africa' most famous scene was shot. Bateleur features its own unique safari architecture of canvas, shingle and polished hardwood. It has a discreet and sophisticated ambience with fine antiques, a wide selection of library books and impressive views. Each generous tented bedroom has personal butler service and sweeping views over greatest grassland system on earth.

Guests can use this luxury base to explore what is undoubtedly the world's finest wildlife spectacle as the predators stalk the herds of wildebeest, zebra, hartebeest, impala, gazelle and the many other large mammals who crowd the plains. From July to October the incredible Great Migration unfolds, as over a million wildebeest join the resident herds in seach of lush grazing, streaming across from the Serengeti in Tanzania, preyed on by the big cats and crocodiles as they make the perilous river crossings. 3 nights Bateleur Camp

Day 10 - Nairobi & Depart:
After a last leisurely breakfast and game drive to the airstrip, guests fly back to Nairobi on the 1100 schedule flight, arriving at 1215 where they are met and transferred back to Ngong House for lunch and an afternoon at leisure or a shopping or sightseeing tour can be arranged, prior to departure from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
